What Manner of Sorcery Is This, and How Do I Wield It?
A fair question, adventurer, put more bluntly than the guild prefers. The Fantasy Edition takes whatever humble matter you bring — a chore, a meal, a grievance — and has it proclaimed by the most insufferable expert in the realm: a snob of your own construction.
- Assemble your character sheet. The subclass supplies the voice — chef, critic, collector, and worse — while species, class, and alignment color the realm it holds forth about.
- State your quest, however small. Five hundred characters is ample; even prophecy respects a word count.
- Press Transmute. Your words return in robes. Copy the proclamation, or press Share to inflict a permanent scroll upon your party.
Witness what the forge produces. “I burned the stew again”, confessed by a chaotic good dwarf barbarian of the chef’s calling, becomes a sermon on being present for the pot. “We just drank whatever was in the cellar” moves a lawful evil elf wizard sommelier to write On the Uncredentialed Cellar, and the Vintages That Should Have Killed You. And “my pack is too heavy” earns, from a lawful neutral halfling rogue of minimalist convictions, firm counsel posted to the Wayfarers’ Board.
